WHat we use for our Sourdough Products?

The starter we received has been kept alive and fermenting since Janaury 2024. It is fed at least two times a week depending on what we are baking for the week.

We have tested many different flours from King Arthur, Costco, the ones we don't name and many more. Our favorite brand of flour is from Ballerina Farm in Utah. We recently discovered (October 2025) a farm closer to home in Turklock, CA called Melgard Farm Mill. There flour is amazing and our absolute favorite.

Salt is an argument in our house. Hubby loves Celtic Sea Salt. I love Ballerina Farms salt. Luckily they both are from Utah and we use both depending on what we are making.

Olive Oil comes from a local shop in downtown Livermore called the The Olive Oil Pantry.

Vanilla Extract is made using organic madagascar whole Grade A vanilla pods with Vodka from Kirland or a Bourbon. We let it soak for 6 months or so before we filter out the beans and use.
